THE NOW
Connecting Our Community
For five years, THE NOW was the text people looked forward to. Our free SMS guide and digital event planner connected more than 1,000 subscribers to Islamic events, educational opportunities, cultural programs, community resources, civic information, and one another.
Created by Black Muslims Now, THE NOW gathered, verified, and shared the opportunities that matter to Black Muslims: for students, elders, converts, families, immigrants, professionals, and anyone looking for community.
What THE NOW shared
Islamic and cultural events
Education and learning opportunities
Civic information

Connections to one another
THE NOW is paused right now because of funding limitations. We want to bring it back, and we can’t do it alone.
Help Restore THE NOW
For five years, THE NOW connected more than 1,000 subscribers to Islamic events, education, cultural programs, civic information, and one another through a free SMS guide. Right now, it’s paused due to funding limitations.
It takes about $600 a month to keep THE NOW free and running. Sponsor a week, a month, or a year, and help us bring it back for the next five years.
